‘I was there when…’ is what you’ll say when you catch the spoken word talent of ‘The Last Word’. Award-winning poet Ciarán Hodgers and eight young people from Merseyside Youth Association’s Talent Match scheme have created sensational new poetry. Working on poems, spoken word pieces and writing about their experiences, their environments and their opinions has proven to be a hidden gem sitting in the minds of these young people, who’ve proven themselves to be budding spoken word artists by any rights. The Last Word performance will be an electrical storm of new voices speaking unapologetically about how they perceive the world and the future they will make for themselves in it. Join these new poets before they start selling out stadiums alongside our extra special guest poets Lyndsay Price, creator of Rhymes and Records, and a special Liverpool debut from internationally toured poet Debris Stevenson. Founder of Mouthy Poets CIC, Debris is an unstoppable force on stage and has been published by organisations such as Louis Vuitton, Oxford University, Holland Park Press and BBC Radio’s The Verb. Flipped Eye has recently published her debut pamphlet, Pigeon Party.
